Being a professional carpenter I’ve worked on the same home projects with many painting crews. I worked on a SE Portland house last year where Davida Painting were painting the exterior. I was really impressed with their workmanship so my wife and I hired them to paint the interior downstairs of our house this May. I recently hired Davida Painting to paint the interior of my house, based on a recommendation from Powell Paint Center. Ruben runs a professional and skilled painting operation. Above all, he is a wonderful human being and takes great care to listen and connect with his clients. At least that was our experience. We called him after getting his card at Powell Paint. He was able to show up at our house in two days and completed an intensive job of spraying interior shellac based primer to cover up smoke odor and staining in the entire house!! He then sprayed the walls and A LOT of trim with two coats. He did it all in about 4 days, as promised with no mistakes or change orders along the way. His crew is hardworking, polite and professional. We have zero complaints and look forward to calling him up for our next painting project.

I haven’t hired yet, but I heard good things about this company. I called to see if my repairs could be done. They were very helpful and found my problem right away. I hope to start my repairs soon.

We called Ruben to get a quote because we had seen his signs up at several really huge older homes in our neighborhood and were impressed at the level of detail with multiple color moldings and trims. We have a 1960s ranch style home and called toward the end of the summer thinking we would not get it done until spring. But his quote was reasonable and he could fit us in since the square footage of the non-brick portion we wanted painted is fairly small. Throughout the process we appreciated both his and his team’s professionalism and communication. He has a lot of knowledge about painting older homes and was very helpful with advice about colors and a couple small last-minute requests we had. His team were all super friendly and cheerfully worked extra hard in a race against fall rains when the weather forecast changed. They got it done faster than planned and it looks great. Tons of compliments from neighbors. Would absolutely recommend Davida and use them again .

What a team Ruben Has

I was so impressed by the level of preparation, scraping, caulking, and priming. In addition the quality of the paint and workmanship was outstanding. Our home was a challenge as it was constructed in the 50’s and is prone to problems. They came out one year later, and then 3 years later to fix issues at no additional cost. Who does this? I would highly recommend them to anyone.
